The Eudon Choi autumn winter 2014 collection is exactly how a modern working girl wants to dress. I could envision wearing the double breasted window pane jacket dress or the pinstripe shift with the white oversized collared blouse under to dash around to appointments in New York City, followed by dinner with friends.
Not to mention we were loving the great footwear that gave splashes of wearable color to each look. The street savvy updated versions must have been influenced by Choi’s muse of the season, the Beatles during the 1960’s.
Choi’s use of color in the tassels or vamps of shoes, the splashes of fur trim on handbags, oversized collars and softened the classical menswear fabrics and made the collection stand out.
Dogstooth, chalkstripes, grey flannels and glen plaids could have been ordinary but became the perfect understated novelties with the thoughtful tailoring and feminine styling.
We thought the dresses were a very pretty addition, with our favorite being the winter white updated 60’s feeling sheath dress with beading on the front worn in the headline image by Clarice.
Speaking of winter white, the sleek, monochromatic look was right in sync with the must have color of the season for New York Fashion Week and carrying forward into London Fashion Week.
